Get Back to Optimal Health

Developed over 100 years ago, chiropractic care is a conservative, drug-free, surgery-free approach to optimal health and is based on the premise that the relationship between the body’s structure and function is a significant factor in your health.

Chiropractic is a healing discipline firmly grounded in science. Although its main focus is the relationship between the skeleton (particularly the spine) and the nervous system that runs through it, chiropractic is concerned with the care of the entire body.

Chiropractors use various diagnostic methods, including x-rays, to discover the state of your health, paying particular attention to your spine and bone structure.

Spinal manipulation and other manual adjustments are their primary methods of helping your body heal itself.

Chiropractic can be used to treat a variety of painful, health-robbing conditions, including:
  • Headaches
  • Neck pain
  • Lower back pain
  • Scoliosis
  • Pinched nerves
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Rotator cuff
  • TMJ dysfunction
  • Numbness and tingling
  • Sciatica (typical symptoms include pain in the lower back or hips; hooting, stabbing or burning pain in the lower back, buttock or leg(s); Pins and needles in the lower back, legs or feet; numbness and tingling in the lower back, legs or feet)
But does chiropractic really work?

Yes! Research shows that chiropractic spinal manipulation has superior results in:

There is an overwhelming body of evidence indicating that chiropractic management of lower back pain is more cost-effective than medical management. This evidence includes studies showing lower chiropractic costs for the same diagnosis and episodic need for care.

Okay! That sounds compelling—but is it safe?

Chiropractic is the safest form of treatment as proven in numerous studies.

For example, a review by Paul Jaskoviak, D.C., D.A.C.A.N., on the National College of Chiropractic Clinics’ experience during a 15-year period concluded that five million chiropractic treatments were performed without a single case vertebral artery injury or stroke.

“There is no clinical or case controlled study that demonstrates or even implies that chiropractic spinal manipulation is unsafe in the treatment of lower back pain. Some medical treatments are unsafe and generate iatrogenic complications. Our reading of the literature suggests that chiropractic manipulation is safer than medical treatment in lower back pain.” -The Magna Report

I never intended on becoming a Chiropractor. In fact, as I approached graduation from college, I had a job already lined up at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. Drexel’s 5 year undergraduate degree was designed for students to go to school for 6 months and work for 6 months each year, so I was graduating with a full resume and was ready for life in the business world.
