Dr. Raj. A. Gupta

The creator, developer and founder of Soul Focus, Dr. Gupta is passionate about his purpose to help as many people as possible avoid unnecessary prescription medication and surgery using diet and exercise and the Soul Focus wellness center he created. After obtaining a business marketing degree from Drexel University, Dr. Gupta attended Life Chiropractic College and then returned to the area in which he was raised to serve the community he grew up in. Dr. Gupta believes that overall health comes from equal management of diet, rest, exercise, and both mechanical and mental stability, and maintenance.

He enjoys working out, playing tennis, going to the beach, fast cars, and rock and roll. He adores his two girls to whom he refers to as ‘his princesses.’

Dr. Gary L. Yen, M.D.

Dr. Gary L. Yen is Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has a sub-specialty in Pain Medicine. Dr. Yen grew up in Long Island, NY and received his medical degree from Ross University. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and performed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Stony Brook University, where he was chief resident.

Dr. Yen completed a pain management fellowship at RehabNY in Buffalo, NY, during which he served as the assistant athletic trainer to the Buffalo Bison, the Minor League AAA baseball team for the Cleveland Indians, as well as the Niagara University men’s and women’s collegiate hockey team.

The former chairman of the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Division of the Pain Management Department at CentraState Medical Center, Dr. Yen specializes in the non-operative treatment of a variety of joint, muscular, nerve, skeletal, spine and sports related injuries. He treats acute and chronic pain syndromes and performs electrodiagnostic studies. Dr. Yen also performs variety of interventional pain procedures and minimally invasive spine surgery for the relief of pain. He utilizes conservative treatments such as physical therapy, chiropractic care and acupuncture in conjunction with other procedures to enhance long term benefits. Dr. Yen believes in working with patients to create individual treatment plans.

When not attending to his patients, Dr. Yen likes to play golf, cook, and has a passion for playing the saxophone and piano. He is the proud father of two boys.

Dr. Gagandeep Gill
Patient Education Coordinator/Chiropractor

Dr. Gill grew up in Eatontown, NJ. He earned his bachelors in biochemistry from Rutgers University. Onwards he continued his education and successfully earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Logan University, St. Louis, Missouri. Aside from his educational accomplishments, Dr. Gill also has 15 years of experience in business management and real estate.

Outside of work Dr. Gill enjoys working out and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Gill is committed to contributing quality health care to his patients.

Jessica Schaffer
Office Manager

Jessica graduated from Sanford Brown Institute as a CMA in 2011 and continues her career at Garden State Spine & Pain Institute as the Office Manager. Ever since being in the medical field, Jessica finds herself in the right place at the right time helping and caring for as many people as possible. Her lifelong ambition has been to help others and succeed in what she loves to do. Here at Soul Focus, Jessica has built a great bond, a lifestyle, and career.

In her spare time, she loves watching movies, traveling and spending quality time with family and her dog, Simba.

Yunshen Wang

I received my bachelor degree of medicine from Kunming Medical University, Yunnan, China in 2001, and then received a Masters Degree of Acupuncture from the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2013.

Aside from being passionate about Chinese Medicine, I love to do research in the field of oriental health nutrition, Taiji and Qigong.

Debra Dayton
Nutritionist, CLN

My passion for nutrition started in my early teens when I had the revelation that the foods I ate were having an impact on my debilitating migraines. This knowledge was a benefit a few years later when my doctor said I would have to be on medications for the rest of my life if I wanted to control my medical issues. I intuitively knew this advice was wrong and went straight to modifying my diet once again. Being able to heal myself through food for the second time was the catalyst for me to seek out a career in nutrition.

I graduated from Rider University with a bachelor’s degree and later went on to the academy of natural health sciences where I received my certification in clinical nutrition and holistic health. I am excited to share my knowledge and follow my passion of helping other heal through nutrition. I believe in a caring and gentle approach to nutritional counseling. I am always encouraging and never shame my clients for missteps I go by the motto, “Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction, ends up being the biggest step of your life.” You will not regret taking this step towards health. You will regret not taking the chance.

Stephanie Schaffer
Billing Manager/Collection Specialist

Stephanie has 7 years of experience in the health care field as both administration and medical assistant.
Stephanie started out as a medical assistant working her way up successfully with experience in front desk management and finally with all her heart and soul becoming a billing manager and collection specialist. She has been certified in Medical Billing and Coding since 2002. She has worked in various practice settings such as Orthopaedics, Family Care, Pain Management, Personal Injury, and Workman’s Compensation practices.

Stephanie has recently joined our team in June of 2016 as our billing manager. She is a team player with passion, knowledge, and creativity who continues to learn and grow.

In her spare time Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family and 3 year old puppy Simba. She loves animals, movies, reading, baseball (New York Yankees) and music. She loves to be silly and appreciates life.

Whitney Williams
Billing Assistant

I started my journey at Garden State Spine and Pain Institute with a 100-hour internship at the front desk. After successfully passing my NHA Billing and Coding Certification in August of 2016, and completing the internship program, I was immediately offered a position within the GSSPI Billing Department. I am currently studying to become a Certified Professional Coder.

My interest in the medical field was piqued through my experiences at my father’s pharmacy growing up. I always loved the way my father was able to help people in need over the course of his 40 year career as a pharmacist. My father dedicated his life to a career in healthcare making sure people received the medications they needed to live comfortably. I hope to, in turn, be that inspiration in my own daughter, Skylar’s, life.

In my spare time I am spending as much time with my family as possible; and supporting fundraisers for Lupus Awareness.

Danielle Levine
Front Desk Coordinator

Danielle grew up in a small North Jersey town called Ramsey. She has lived in Ocean Township for the last 8 years and absolutely loves living at the shore! Danielle has worked in the medical field since 2009 and has been with Soul Focus since March of 2015. Her passion for wellness began with her first job and has grown exponentially while working at Soul Focus–She absolutely loves being apart of the fantastic team of doctors and staff!

On the weekends she enjoys watching football and going to the beach! Go Jets and Alabama!
